Hayward SP2303VSP MaxFlo VS Variable Speed Pool Pump

Hayward MaxFlo VS: What to Check Before Buying

Model SP2303VSP is the variable-speed member of Hayward’s MaxFlo line. The listing calls it a “drop-in upgrade” for existing traditional MaxFlo installations — if your pump isn’t a MaxFlo, don’t assume bolt and plumbing alignment without measuring.

Voltage: Buy the Right Version

The listing states MaxFlo VS comes in both 115V and 230V versions. A 230V unit won’t run on a 115V circuit (and vice versa) without rewiring by a qualified electrician to local code. Check your panel before ordering.

VS vs. Single-Speed MaxFlo

• The variable-speed model uses a permanent magnet, totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor per the listing — different hardware from single-speed MaxFlo pumps, with speed selection set on the pump’s control panel.
• This ASIN covers the VS unit itself; other features or accessories shown in older marketing copy aren’t guaranteed by this listing.
