Hayward SP2610X152S Super Pump 1.5 HP Pool Pump Dual Speed Energy Efficient

Choosing the Dual-Speed Hayward Super Pump (SP2610X152S)

The SP2610X152S is the dual-speed member of Hayward’s Super Pump family for inground pools — two fixed speeds, not a variable-speed drive. That distinction matters when comparing listings: single-speed and VS models in this family carry different part numbers.

Why Dual-Speed Matters

• The listing’s design pairs a high-output setting with a lower-speed setting for routine filtration, controlled from the pump’s own switch rather than a controller.
• No separate add-on is required for two-speed operation beyond what the pump provides; confirm your control wiring matches the listing before install.

Site Checks

• The listing states self-priming suction lift up to 8 feet above water level — relevant if the pump sits near the pool’s waterline.
• A see-through strainer cover with swing-aside knobs makes basket checks quick, per the listing.
